Basin Faucets

Streamlined Style

Basin faucets are a great option for those homeowners that want to make a style statement with a neat and uncluttered look. Since the faucet design features a spout and single-lever handle combined into one unit, this configuration type is easy to install and requires only one hole to be drilled into the countertop for mounting.

Multiple Options

Basin faucets pair beautifully with a wide variety of sink design styles and mounting types. If your bathroom sink of choice features a mounting deck or rim, your basin faucet can be installed into a single pre-drilled hole, or even into a three-hole configuration (with the addition of a deck plate to cover the unused mounting holes for a tidy, seamless appearance). If you choose an undermount sink, this type of faucet can be installed directly onto the countertop into a single mounting hole. Make sure you have the correct measurements to ensure that your faucet will work well with your sink; you can work with a plumbing professional, or consult your Kraus instruction manual for the proper steps to ensure worry-free installation.

The Single-Hole Advantage

Single hole faucets offer precise temperature and volume control while making the most of limited sink space. With a spout and mixing handle that are combined into one unit, they are also much easier to install, and make an ideal fit if you have one installation hole already drilled in to your existing sink or countertop. If, however, your countertop or sink deck has already been predrilled for extra holes, you can simply use an escutcheon (also known as deck plate) to cover them up. Certain basin models come with an optional deck plate already included; we also offer several universal deck plates in a range of finish options to perfectly complement your faucet.

Finish Strong

Durable finish is a must for any bathroom, especially a high-traffic one. Here at Kraus, we offer a dazzling array of finish options, but if all these choices seem overwhelming, here are several tips to help you make a decision:

  • For a cohesive look, coordinate every part of your bathroom, including accessories like towel bars, robe hooks, lighting fixtures, and even hardware like hinges and door knobs, so that they all have the same (or similar) finish.

  • For a more eclectic look, try mixing and matching finishes – certain combinations like Matte Black and Brushed Gold look great together, and add an exciting touch to any bathroom décor.

  • Polished finishes have an eye-catching look but may require a bit more upkeep to keep them shining like new, while brushed or satin finishes are better at hiding water spots and fingerprints.
