Don't be misled by this sink!
I never write reviews, but felt I had to share -- we are VERY unhappy with this sink. The very slight, inadequate grade of the bottom of the sink (the "tilt" of the sink bottom towards the drain) means that water and sediment just sits in the bottom of the sink, then SLOWLY goes into the drain, leaving sediment from dishes, etc. everywhere on the bottom of the sink itself. I am not an obsessive person, but I find myself scouring the sink nightly to get it clean, because there is no rinsing it out with a sprayer -- the water just swirls around and then sits. Also -- it's not nearly as soundproof as other sinks we have had, and every noise carries through the kitchen. Highly, highly disappointed with this product. Very unfortunate.

Sink or Rise to the Top!
After just a few weeks of use we are very pleased with this sink. With a large household of kids who cant seem to get the fact that the dishwasher is right next to the sink, this sink holds a lot. The sink is so deep that from a distance you cant tell if there are dishes in it or not. I wasnt sure if I would like the single bowl LARGE sink but we do! My teenage son suggested he might bathe in it! The quality is top notch! This sink rises to the top! The only draw back I see is if you like to soak anything or want the sink full it will take about 12 minutes to fill it. Yes we checked! Other than that worth the price.

So far I love this sink. Contractors are still in my house so I have not unpacked my kitchen and really used the sink for daily cooking, etc. BUT it looks fabulous. I love the design and size. Nice that it is in a complete kit with the grate and everything. At this point I am pleased with the sink. I do think with the grate in place, you have to work a little harder to get stuff rinsed off the sides, etc. But with everything in general sometimes if you want a certain look,, you may have to deal with some trade offs on functionality, etc. I don't think this will be an issue, just something you may have to take a few extra minutes to clean out.

Everyone loves my sink
I am so happy with this sink. The size is great. I can wash big baking sheets and pots and pans easily. It looks really good in my kitchen. Everyone comments how great my remodeled kitchen looks when they walk in. Then, as they look around they stop at the sink and look in and say "wow!" It is by far my favorite thing about my new kitchen.

Greatest Sink Ever
The Krause sink is not only beautiful and a compliment to our kitchen but its room for large pots, cookie sheets, etc. is a convenience only known by commercial kitchens. The undermount and rear drain is the same footprint as a standard sink. Love how quiet due to insulated coating. This is first quality all the way.

If you are going to put this sink in a model kitchen where it will only be looked at and not used, get it. It is absolutely beautiful. But that is where it stops. I looked long and hard before buying this sink. I actually saw it in a show room and fell in love. I was apprehensive as a lot of reviews said that the water doesn't drain well because of the nearly flat bottom. Well after installing the sink, I find out the negative reviews are spot on. The grate is nice but I find myself having to pick it up after every use and physically sweep the food particles to the drain by hand. If you try and use the sprayer, you just chase them around the sink. Also, because the sink drains so slowly, a lot of gunk gets built up on the bottom and needs to be cleaned at least daily, again, after removing the grate. Sink manufacturers, if you are reading...you could take the sink world by storm if you could just figure out a way to put a better slope on the bottom of this sink while keeping the grate.

Bought this a month ago and it arrived on time, packaged very, very well and undamaged. I had the countertop cut to fit the new sink. My old one was a puny 23 inches and really not usable. The new stainless steel sink is deep and big. I can wash almost anything in it including the dog. The grate is a nice touch as it keeps things from marring the bottom. Strainer is also handy, works very well and easy to pull out and empty. Everyone that has seen my new sink comments on how good it looks and how much they would like one. Love it so much I am going to buy another but small stainless steel sink (30 inch) soon to replace the other puny 23 inch sink. ALso boughter the Kraus faucet and installed it myself.

Purchased and installed about 4 months ago. It's a beautiful sink, love the industrial look and it's perfect for large pots, etc. The slight taper in the corners is great so that water doesn't pool.
The only drawback I've noted is that the feet on the grid to protect the sink DO in fact, scratch the sink (someone had questioned this below, and it shouldn't). However it's happening with us, so that's the only disappointment.
I would recommend it to anyone - it's a great investment. But disappointed with the scratching that's showing up.
